Have you ever noticed that when you are sharing your advice with a friend or helping a loved one through something difficult, you find yourself saying exactly the words you need to hear?
Experiences like this happen to me all the time, and they remind me that I'm infinitely taken care of - that I'm given exactly that which I need in every moment.
And, I really have to DO very little.
Once again, I can hear you saying "Alexis, what are you talking about? I see you doing a whole heckuva lot all the time!"
It's true, you see me doing a whole lot; it's very rare that I don't have something going on.
But, what most people don't see is I don't spend a tremendous amount of time worrying about what I'm doing or whether I made the right decision about something.
MOST of the time, I rest in the awareness that my "decisions" are spontaneous expressions of God, the Universe, infinite source (whatever you want to call it) and I make the decision and then let go of the outcome.
Basically, I have faith.
Living my life in this way takes away a huge amount of the suffering I used to experience when I lived without faith and thought I was in control of everything and all outcomes.
Living that way was agonizing.
Instead, I relax in the knowing that whatever comes from my decisions will be exactly what is supposed to happen so I can learn that which I need to learn.
