Your Marketing Plan - Day 1

I've heard many of you say that you want to market the way that I am, but you don't know where to start.

Well, before I tell you were to start, let me give you the big picture overview.

FWPI Inner Circle subscribers will hear from PI Attorney Ben Glass this month. Ben is using the same kind of Ethical, Effective, Outside the Box Marketing (Ben's term) I am.

And, after listening to this CD, you'll be ready for it too!

What we've both found is that our style of marketing -while different than the norm - is the key to business happiness.

I've tried it all - retail seminars, wholesale seminars, referral networking, study groups, you name it.

And, I found it all to be fun - for a while. Then, it got overwhelming and I couldn't see an end in sight.

I felt like a hamster on a spinning wheel, running faster and faster, but not going anywhere. I was working harder and harder, but not making any more money.

The marketing merry-go-round never stops. So, rather than get off, I decided to figure out how I could lay down in the middle of the merry-go-round look up at the sky and enjoy the ride.

And, I want you to have the same joy.

So, here's your first step. Don't overthink it; it's not that complex. Just do it.

Get your database started. I don't care if you use Outlook, Excel, Act, Goldmine, Time Matters, Infusion, Constant Contact, or anything else. Start with something.

I started with a list of names in Outlook, moved to Time Matters, and now I'm building a complex custom database that I'll tell you more about later in the week.

Make three lists for your database:

  • Prospects
  • Referral Sources
  • Clients

If you don't have time, hire someone for $10/hour to help you. But, whatever you do - do it.

PS - On our recent CES System Implementation bonus call, one of the callers said she hadn't implemented the System because she didn't have a logo.

Lee was experiencing the exact same barrier to her success that many of us do - not getting started because it feels as if we are too far away from where we want to go.

That kind of wrong thinking keeps you stagnant. After a few minutes on the phone with me, Lee was able to breakthrough her barrier and she's on her way to making money now.
