I'm on a plane heading to Chicago for a marketing conference where I'll be learning the most cutting edge ways to reach prospects using the internet.
I can almost guarantee you I'll be the only lawyer there.
Why?
Frankly, I can't understand it. There's NOTHING more important to your business success than your ability to attract quality prospects and turn them into lifetime clients who will provide the foundation for your scalable, saleable business.
And, yes, you read right, I did say "saleable" business.
I know we don't traditionally think of our law practices as potentially saleable, but that's a HUGE error.
Do you really want to stay on the marketing merry go round for the next 30 years engaging new client after new client only to have nothing to show for it?
I know too many long-time lawyers with tens of thousands of clients who can't stop because they have to keep bringing in new client after client to feed the machine.
Are you ready to stop?
Do you feel like Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors? Is your practice going to eat you alive? Mine was going to if I didn't do something different.
What is that something?
It started with the realization that my business is way bigger than me. And, that the most valuable part of my practice is NOT my relationships with referral sources or even me, it is my client list.
If you are nurturing your clients in the right way, you can step off the marketing merry-go-round (some of you could stop marketing to new clients right away), and instead focus your energy on taking care of your existing clients.
Think about it - how many clients would have to pay you how much money before you could stop marketing altogether?
I'm close to closing my practice to new clients. And, it's a beautiful thing.
I'll tell you all about it in next months Law Business Secrets OFFLINE Practice Management and Marketing Letter for my *Silver* Mastermind members. Not a member? Go here for 2 free months:
