I cannot tell you the number of leads I've lost over the past 4 years because I didn't have an adequate system for capturing information and following up.
I can tell you that when I think about it, I want to cry.
It's that many.
I'd speak at an event, get people all excited, even have them complete an information worksheet, then get back to the office and get so busy with other stuff, that I didn't follow up.
Sound familiar?
Of course it does because it's the reality that we all face.
The only way to make sure follow up happens is to have a system for it.
Here's mine:
1. Capture information on one of our famous "Purple Worksheets."
2. Bring purple worksheets back to office and hand off to admin assistant for entry into Infusion.
3. Apply Action Sequence to send out pre-set series of emails and letters.
4. Add to monthly newsletter and weekly email.
Now, I never lose a lead. At the very least, they hear from me by mail once a month and email once a week.
Last week, I engaged a client for $5,000 who was put into my database 18 months ago.
It took her that long to decide to get her affairs in order ... and when she came in to the office she said - "I feel like I know you Alexis, I've been getting your emails and newsletter for months now."
That's how it's supposed to work!
