The Family Wealth Planning Institute is really where this all started.

And out of that realization was born the Family Wealth Planning Institute.
I envisioned a network of attorneys focused on planning for a lifetime of protection, guidance and love. Attorneys who focused on helping their clients navigate life's legal challenges as they arose at each critical stage of life - the birth of a child, the death of a parent, marriage, home purchase, etc. The modern day Personal Family Lawyer(tm).
The entry point into the Personal Family Lawyer relationship may be through estate planning, divorce, real estate purchases, or business transactions. Regardless of the transaction that begins the relationship, the Personal Family Lawyer adds so much value to the clients life that the completion of the initial transaction whether it be an estate plan, a divorce, a probate, an incorporation, or any other transaction, it is just the beginning of a bigger relationship. A relationship that provides immense value to clients and more personal satisfaction and income for the attorney.
Each Family Wealth Planning Institute member attorney is committed to providing a higher degree of service and excellence than the norm. Family Wealth Planning Institute member attorneys communicate with their clients through monthly newsletters and audio programs. They host quarterly client events. They agree to work with other member attorneys to take care of clients who move from one to state to another for a fixed review and update fee, as determined by each member attorney and posted in the internal FWPI website. Eventually all FWPI member attorneys will offer membership programs that if managed properly will allow an attorney to "close" his or her practice. Get off the marketing merry-go-round and serve his or her existing clients and their families with love and gratitude. FWPI member attorneys are business owners who treat their clients as they want to be treated by their professionals - with warmth, caring, and professionalism.
I dream of a day when families across the United States will seek out a Family Wealth Planning Institute Certifed Personal Family Lawyers the way they seek out Volvos for safety, Bugaboo strollers for image, and Nordstroms for quality and convenience. And, they will turn to the Family Wealth Planning Institute for information and guidance when they aren't sure whether they need attorney.
As you can see, this is a big freakin' vision. For two years, I ran away from it because it was too overwhelming.
